Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a quick look at the undampered RV floor register. This is going to be a great replacement for a worn or damaged floor register. If you're not familiar with the dampered versus undampered, it might be a little bit confusing. You can see on the back here, we do not have any of the fins that would allow us to close this off entirely, or to adjust the amount of air flow flowing through. That's what this means by being undampered.
We do have a very similar option that is dampered. If you would prefer that, you can find that here at etrailer.com, using the part number that you see on the screen there. You can just see the comparison there, without those fins or with the fins. Depending on what you need, we want to make sure that you're getting the right product for you. This does have a durable steel construction, so very nice. You're not going to be worried about it breaking, like any flimsy plastic or anything like that. It does also have a black powder coat finish, which gives it a little bit of a rugged look in my mind, but it is going to help give it durability. It's not going to rust or corrode, anything like that.
Depending on what your application is, if you're wanting something that's more durable, maybe it looks more industrial, I think this is going to be a great fit for you.I do want to give you a few dimensions here, to make sure that it's going to work for your setup. Our overall length or our stereo portion here, the piece that's going to sit on top of our floor. We're looking at right about nine and five eighths of an inch long. If I turn this to the side, we see that it's right about five and five eighths of an inch wide. Now, that's the portion that's going to be sitting on top of your floor. If we look at the portion that's going to be sitting down in your vent area, it is right about seven and three quarters of an inch, by three and three quarters of an inch. It's going to work great for those eight by four, four by eight applications. Just for additional confirmation, our total depth there will be sinking into the floor or into the bent surface, is right about one and a half inches. Our mounting holes here, from center to center are right about nine and a quarter of an inch apart.
Again, center to center. Just make sure that this is going to work for your application, will fit into the vent that you have, that you're needing a replacement register for.Like I said, the undampered aspect of this, it's not going to allow you to control how much air is coming out. It's just going to give you the full force of air coming through your system. That's going to complete our look at the undampered floor register. Thanks for watching..
